It is the day before election day and for the first time ever i saw Fahrenheit 9/11. After seeing the documentry i do not know what to believe nor comprehend. Much of the footage and information is a harsh reality. Im not going to get into what i believe but i want to know what many of you thought. Sorry if i brought this topic back from the grave.

i saw it just to see it. i dont like reading these fahrenheit 9/11 posts because the only argument against michael moore becomes: "oh hes fat and hates America." I want a good argument against his views besides that crap. i'm open minded i wanna hear both sides of the story.

What bothers me about Micheal Moore and his movie (and what he does) is that he uses half truths to confuse the American people and make them beleive things that aren't true. Eg: In his movie, he says that only one person in Congress has a son or daughter enlisted in the military. Granted this is true but he leads viewers to beleive that only one person in Congress has a son or daughter in the mlitary. This is not true....only one member of congress has a son or daughter enlisted, but there are many that have sons and daughters that are officers in the military. He does stuff like this throught the film.

Also what bothers me (and this might not bother some) is that Micheal Moore isn't pro-Kerry. He doesn't even like Kerry. The only reason that he did this movie is b/c he is anti-Bush. For some reason taht really bothers me. If you vote for Kerry b/c you like him, that is one thing. But if you vote for him just b/c you don't like Bush, that really bothers me.

i want to see that movie also, just to get the other side of the story. its funny that there's millions of copies of Fahrenheit 9/11 in the video store but only about 3 copies of Fahrenhype 9/11

I can understand where you are comming from when you say that some of the footage in the documentry is exagerated but watching the soldiers getting blasted and seeing the torn bodies was what really hit me hard. The families losing there children was real and that can not be edited nor exagerated. I put aside all the BS with the whole political stuff and really focused on the soldiers fighting this war.

Well, it makes sense. Millions of people have heard about "Fahrenheit 9/11", whereas hardly anyone has heard of "Fahrenhype 9/11". That's like expecting Blockbuster to stock equal copies of "The Passion of the Christ" and "Gigli".

Unfortunantly that is the reality of all wars, not just this one.

Exactly. It's a horrible horrible thing, and those of us who haven't seen it up close and personal will likely never know or appreciate how just how horrible. However, just because a choice causes suffering does not make it the wrong choice. Pain is a part of life, and death is a part of life. It simply means we should be sure that the suffering we cause is for a greater good, and is minimized as much as possible without castrating our cause. If people are not willing to have themselves blown up, torn and shot to protect our way of life, we will be forever at the mercy of those who are willing to be blown up, torn, and shot to take us down.

But the problem I have with Moore and his ilk is that for all their sniping at Bush they have yet to put together a constructive plan to do the job better. Frankly, I'd vote against Bush if I thought there was a better alternative; I disagree with my party (Republicans) and President on multiple issues. I am not convinced, thought, that there is a better choice today. Moore is simply taking advantage of the sacrifices of better men than himself to make as much money as he can while pretending to add something constructive to the American conversation.

Man, that is really good statement. As a Republican and as an "evil" conservative I could not agree more.

Amen Nittany. You get some good reputation points for that one.

I watched it as well last week, and was also trying to get a copy of Farenhype....but could not find it.

The whole movie is out of context....which makes me mad (especially because he passes it off as a Doc.) . The one scene that I was laughing at was when they had the soldiers telling them what music they like to listen too when they "went into Battle". They made it sound so bad......when I actually watched the MTV special where the footage came from.....and again, it was Way out of context.....

Notice one thing about the movie.......you hardly ever here Questions being posed in the video without Michael Moore in it.........meaning you here someone saying something as a response, yet you never hear the question......so they can use that response in any way they want.......very divious for "real" work if you ask me!

its amazing how you can have an anti bush doc, but when an anti kerry one is made ppl through their arms up in the air against the sinclair group who was going to put it out.

F-9/11 is just a bunch of Michael Moore propaganda. If the crap in that movie were really true, don't you think Kerry and the Democrats would be using those so-called facts against Bush in their campaign? They're not, because they know it's a bunch of B.S. as well.
