San Francisco is at it AGAIN

In this case, I agree with the hippies. (I can't believe I just wrote that. :eek:) China's gotten away with a lot of crap and now they complain about a little blowback because they treat their people like trash? So what if it costs them "face?" Cry me a river.
 
Leave it to the French to beat out the Segway in the category of "Most Humiliating Form of Transportation Employed in a Law Enforcement or Security Capacity".

I am with the protesters as well, I just don't think they should be trying to put out the flame.

Anyone else realize how ridiculously mad those people look? Shouldn't they be making angry faces at the Chinese government instead of a symbol of international cooperation and competition?

I was on the Embarcadero for lunch today. It was very 'festive'. Good show to go with my burger and fries.

Of course, do any of these hippies believe in any course of action to put China in it's place? Seems like they'd rather just whine about it.

I didn't say I COMPLETELY agreed with them. :icon_tong
 
I'll be there wearin' white, attempting to pull off a Tienanmen on the torch... It may not be the most direct action one could take, but hopefully it will be an "Uncle Tom's Cabin" for the plight of the Tibetans, the Falun Gong, the HIV Activist Hu Jia, The Olympic Critic Yang Chulin (who got five years for organizing a letter campaign) etc. etc.
