Ahh, and there in lies the problem. Those O-3s still are JOs. They just often get drunk w/ power....or just propegate the myth that they aren't JOs. That's why I love it when going into a wardroom and the aviator Jaygees call the Dept Head SWOs by their first name. It either ends up in them sucking it up, or trying to pull rank when I'm sitting there as a fellow LT. Game, set, match.

Didn't say it was right or wrong....just the way it is. We all know that technically, LCDR's are still JO's too. Aviators can call me by my first name. They don't work for me.
