So ive been trying to get on sailor bob, however they have a question:

"The VIP code is the two number designation for the Arleigh Burke Class DDG."

I did a google search but came up empty handed. Could someone tell me what the two number designation is?"

51. AB is DDG 51

I concur it is 51 in reference to the original ships being 506 feet long rounding up to 51 from 50

51 is actually the hull number.

I will defer to the Navy on this one as I thought maybe it had some logic like how we tag our AF planes.

Any class of ship can be referred to as the first hull number in that class. For the AB class, it's 51 because AB's hull number is DDG 51. The two number designation that SB is asking for should be 51.
