26yr old professional/PhD candidate female with 10lb 8mo old miniature dachshund. (He is neutered, decently behaved, and typically kept in the kitchen.) I TDY an average of four nights per month and often work long hours. I play tennis at least one night a week and enjoy cooking, reading, knitting, yoga, following current events, and the like. I am pretty low key, not a big drinker, and consider myself rather middle of the road to somewhat conservative on most issues, including living style.
I support the Department of Defense and it is very important that my housemate be:
*quiet
*honest
*both neat and clean
*drug and smoke free
*no more than a social drinker
*respectful of personal space and property
*lacking associates of questionable character
*financially responsible and currently employed
*willing to have a (well trained) dog in the house
There is a strong preference for a DoD affiliated individual with an active clearance. I require a quiet living space absent of large social gatherings, as I am also finishing my dissertation in the evenings and on weekends. My (serious) boyfriend comes down from DC for the weekend about twice a month and stays with me Friday -- Sunday. This does not mean I am comfortable with casual or rotating overnight guests. I'm willing to discuss a discount on rent for someone who is just looking for a place during the week.
Rent is 650$/mo with utilities included.
Location: Hampton Woods townhouse community, less than two miles from I-64 off Village Drive. Quick trip to military installations on the Peninsula.

I also liked your choice of adjectives for your dog. Decently behaved. Yeah, that's probably what I would say about my mutt when I really mean he's a little bastard but I love him anyway so I put up with his crap!
