In other news, water is wet. Until the USG and industry partners get serious about doing some significant investing in our shipyards and shipbuilding, this isn't going to change. "Smart people" with dire predictions have been admiring this problem for decades.
Unsurprising that the guy that sells submarines is an expert in how the U.S. really needs submarines.
Admiring the problem is the name of the game in defense acquisitions.

The latest episode of The Next World War by Flat Circle History just dropped....a very realistic, if not Clancy-esque view of a potential conflict with RUS and PRC. This would be sufficient for JPME credit. If new to you, would encourage watching the entire series in a binge.

I agree. I’m not convinced the navy can help itself, especially under the pressure of the defense lobbies selling grand additions.
