RI airshow is next weekend (18-19 June) out at Quonset Point, across the Naragansett Bay from Newport. Blue Angels will be flying. Anybody else going?
 
seeing the Blues could be a good motivator before i head to OCS. i'm due for a road trip anyway. anyone from DC on up need a ride?
 
If you are working with a recruiter, especially if you are BDCP or selected for OCS, give them a call and see if you can score some tickets (if pay event) or special access.
 
Not gonna be able to go to that airshow but I was able to go see the Red Bull Air Races in Rotterdam yesterday. It was amazing, if you haven't heard of it it's a air race over the Maas river in downtown Rotterdam. Check out www.redbullairrace.com.

Yea, I decided not to go. Too long of a trip for a typical crappy NE weather day.
 
yep....I've pretty muched canx'd it off my schedule today. Weather MAY be a bit better tomorrow, so we'll see.
 
I went, got there about 1230, weather cleared up nicely. Got to see some cool stuff and talk to a bunch of the people here. Good time all in all. Blue Angles were great!
 
I wish I had known it was going to be so nice... Sucks cause I can't go tomorrow, have a soccer game at noon.

yup, weather cleared up, show was phenomenal, i was a happy camper. wish i could have gone back today and seen it again. did i miss the F15 demo, or did they scrap it altogether?

time to go see if i can make it to their next show-
