The only resistance for me right now is my paycheck isn't big enough. I suppose I'll have to stick with Assault Pistols instead for now

I think that it is funny how they mention sport shooting, hunting, personal defense, etc, and never mention the real reason for the 2nd amendment.

Still, someone who supports my position for inaccurate reasons is much better than someone who is against it.

Why do 'they' work so hard to distort facts? The 90% number, 2000 guns a day, etc etc..? They serve only to discredit themselves when people with enough time or gumption to do some research poke around a bit and go "these numbers don't add up...wtf mates?!"

Distorting the facts is one thing, but I'd love to hear someone explain how Mexicans are able to get full-auto Kalashnikovs from over here in numbers sufficient to equip thousand man armies whilst I'm unable to carry anything more menacing than a lighter up in NY.

Doesn't bode well? Come on now, Mumbles. Most gun owners are law abiding citizens, not idiots willing to shoot LEOs because of fears of a gun ban.
I bet Sarah Brady and her ilk would disagree.

Yeah, I heard about that on the news this morning.

How about the guy that shot and killed 14 people (maybe more, 4 were in critical condition last I heard)?

The media will use that to say that too many people have guns and more efforts should be made to ban them. Well, how about more effort be done to arm responsible citizens? I doubt even the most fanatic 2nd amendment opposition would object to a concealed weapons permit holder dropping that guy that was shooting at everyone.

Sure they would. They'd say it's vigilantism, and condemn him/her for being "judge, jury, and executioner." In the minds of some people, ALL violence is bad. IMO, that's because they've either been raised in such a secure world that they can't understand that someone is that violent, or they honestly feel morally superior in NOT responding to violence.

Heck, I was having dinner at a restaurant last night. While waiting for my dinner, I overheard a young couple making fun of one of their dads for carrying. They apparently thought he was paranoid just for packing. To some people, having a CCW is ridiculous and makes you an object of mockery.

My response to the people who stand by the vigilante argument is simple:
I don't carry because I want to be the savior of everyone around me or because I want to administer my own brand of justice. I cary to protect myself first and foremost as it is my right to. Any secondary life saving is strictly coincidental.

this does not mean that I'll just watch as someone pulls a gun on somebody else that I'm around, but the reason being, after that person shoots somebody, how long before the shooter turns to me?
