will it take a high capacity mag?

I imagine the thumbhole would be an attempt to get away from having it tossed into a category of evil weapons with "pistol style" grips. The thumbhole might not be as recognizable to idiots who think all guns are evil.

FYI ... from the website:

" ... All come with five-round magazines and are compatible with all aftermarket AR-15 magazines and other accessories ..."

Questions?? :) Comments?? :) Criticisms?? :) Looks like a nice rifle to me, w/ an "average" price when compared to the "higher"-end competition.

I might bite ...

Isn't a thumbhole stock considered "evil"

Some proposed bills have singled out thumbhole stocks but most have not. I think in California they got wise and started including thumbhole stocks in their legislation. The original Clinton Gun Ban did not consider thumbhole to be a feature of an Assault Weapon.

You are correct on CA, thumbholes are specifically listed here. Who needs an evil stock anyways??? Go old school;)

I'm sorry, but are you stupid? Remington took an AR pattern rifle and made it "hunter-friendly." This is nothing new, and certainly not any "hedging of their bets" in some overblown fear that any black rifle is going to be banned. Most states have 5-rd mag capacity limitations and rednecks go ga-ga for Realtree stuff. I think I'll move some money to a couple firearms companies so I too can profit from the irrational fears of idiots.

Wow. Did someone piss in your cheerios this morning....or did they insult your Camaro? What gives?

FWIW, I don't consider a thumbhole and green camo stock "hunter friendly". I think it's just a trend and a marketing tool. It's the same as sexy fake "air intakes" on the hood of low end sports cars. They don't do shit, but it looks purdy and makes people want to buy 'em.

I have waxed more than my share of game over the years. Ducks, dove, quail, deer, etc. etc, and none of them were scared off by the wood stock of the firearm that I was carrying. That AR looks like a nice enough gun, but I'll never buy a firearm with a camo-print stock. It's just not my style.

You are referring to limitations for hunting purposes only correct?

Because most states do NOT have 5 rd limitations for semi-automatic rifles. CA I think does, and maybe Illinois, but the majority of states do not.
