Well, today I was notified that I was "not professionally recommended" to any of my choices. Due in part to a "declining academic trend." My GPA is a 3.4 but because I had one year of a 2.8 (last year) I guess they think I am declining in my abilities. I guess it doesn't make a difference that I was enrolled in much harder classes, or that I transferred that year, or that there were alot of personal considerations to take into account. So, even though my GPA is higher than most I am fu##ed due to one year. Guess I am going to get a 3.6 or better this year then resubmit. Goodluck to all of you.

Ok. So I guess that I'm not getting in then, because back in '93-'94 my GPA one or two quarters was like a 2.15 and 2.40.

Did they specifically tell you that is why you didn't get in? It was to my understanding that they didn't give out the reasons why one wasn't accepted. Oh, are you still in school?

E6286 - Sorry to hear about the rejection. What did the rest of you're package look like (clubs, work, etc)?

My recruiter said that from what they told her the main reason was the one I stated above. My OAR was a 50 and I still have a 3.4 gpa. However, due to the decline last year they see a declining academic trend. Basically, if I raise back up to like a 3.4 or better this semester which I will they will most likely accept me (or at least I have a better chance).

Oh I see so if your grades are increasing each semester then you're ok? That takes the edge off a little.

Ghost I turned in my application on the 9th so it has been about 3 weeks. If you haven't heard yet your application made it to the final selection I would guess. See, it is to my understanding that a board reccomends or does not reccomend you and I was not recomended.

Ghost, I'd rather not know the good than know the bad. Right? In this case I'd say no news is good news. Sorry E6286. What programs were you shooting for?

Your right, I'm not taking away from E6 with that GPA he WILL get in. And I'm pretty sure on that.

Dude, E6, you still in school? You applied for BDCP? If so, hit the books and do everything you can to make them happy, and try again. If you are a grad, I don't know what to tell ya. I didn't know they broke college down into years and looked at "trends". Sure are picky. Anyway, keep your head up, don't give up.
