Recruiter Gift

Hey everyone...I've been meaning to get my recruiter a small appreciation gift for helping me along the way. For those that have applied, did you get a small gift for your recruiter and if so, what? I was thinking a gift certificate to a restaurant, but looking for some ideas...

BTW, I saw this old thread: http://www.airwarriors.com/forum/archive/index.php?t-132954.html, but I'm not sure if he drinks and/or what he likes...

Thanks!

Hit the Fleet, then see if you still feel like thanking your recruiter... :D

No, seriously, you can't go too far wrong with booze, just 1. Dont be a cheap bastard and 2. Make sure he's not a Mormon or something. It's okay to ask - "I'd like to buy you a bottle as a thanks, what's your drink?"

Bottle. Be it Glenlivet, Jack, whatever... depends on what you want to pay. But the Navy floats on a Sea of Paper which in turn is ontop an Ocean of booze...

Another nice thing is to simply stay in touch. Send pictures of yourself all along the way. Pass on the latest gouge and continue to ask his opinion on future decisions you will make as you go through your training pipeline. My office had a board full of pictures of our guys over the years. We actually had a guy send us a DVD he made of his time in T-45s. It was a big hit when shown at recruiting events.

Still, would you pass up a bottle if it was a gift? :D
