Reconsideration Letter

I was wondering if anyone on here was accepted after submitting a reconsideration letter. I have searched all the posts on here and have found a lot of information on recon. letters, but have only seen one person who said they were accepted after submitting one.

Well, I have. What in particular are you looking to find out?
 
Ok, thank you. I just wanted to see if there were people actually getting accepted by sending a reconsideration letter. I saw a lot of people that said that they sent one, but hardly any that said they got accepted.

Well if I had to guess, I was rejected due to the fact that all my undergraduate credits weren't included with my packet. They only sent my associates degree credits which while respectable, didn't reflect my work during my first junior year (which was stellar). If I could think of something else, I lacked a recommendation letter reflecting my current works and abilities and my motivational statement read horribly is retrospect.

So, I submitted my junior college credits, added a new letter of recommendation from a very respected professor in the Computer Science department, added a commendation I received from the Area manager of NJROTC from my time as a supply officer for kicks, and I rewrote my motivational statement from the ground up as well as a pretty direct and effectual reconsideration letter telling them exactly what I thought about why I should be selected.

So in short, put your best foot forward this time around and pull every trick you can. And try to be persuasive in your reconsideration letter, it's a shot at talking directly to the review board and really selling yourself.
 
I got accepted on my first application to BDCP, however I have submitted 3 letters for redesignation to SNA so far. Still waiting to hear back about the last one i've submitted. The squeaky axle gets the grease. Don't worry about if anyone else has had luck or not. It has nothing to do with YOU getting what YOU want. Keep going for it.
