As an instructor technique, this should only be simulated on a checkride...:(:(:(

From the article:
-An Argentinian flight instructor jumped out of a plane to his death in the middle of a flying lesson — after telling his student, “You know what you have to do,” and leaving her to land the aircraft by herself.

Or only done in the simulator

145 on about 12GPH in cruise
Old school carbureted O-540 on the RG is a great combo. Great induction with solid baffling - made for a cool engine. The 182T ith the IO-540 struggles to keep CHTs below 420 in all but wintery weather - and its stupidly big cowl flaps are drag monsters. Yes the G1000NXi and GFC700 are nice but in 2026 one should be able to get better performance.

I have flown the SR-22 a bit and at 180 KTAS + its a dream at the cost of complexity and shocking operating costs. GA is now a "rich guy" activity in many ways.

Never flown the Lance Air - they are good looking on the ramp.

I don't know what the perfect personal airplane is honestly - the key is to be uber rich and have a Citation CJ1 or Mustang or a Pilatus PC-12 as your personal go-cart.
