Headed to DC from DTW and a couple of pax pickup stops along the way. Nice to have a turbocharged airplane and 6 seats. The speed advantage is nulled due to the drag of the FLIR on the port side of the airplane.

It's sad that I've dumped more gas on one flight in the EA-6B than your plane weighs.... and Turbo Charged is a marketing/selling point, not an actual Turbo Charged engine.

There is in turbo charger with a exhaust gas driven turbine. It gives you the ability to make 39" of manifold pressure up to 17,000' msl. Giving me access to all 310 HP my little 6 cylinder IO-540 can push out!

I guess the more correct term in "turbo normalized" ....

It's about as good as it gets for us little airplane piston guys. 😜
