I have brought great shame to myself and the forum! That's a Maxim!
It's sad that I've dumped more gas on one flight in the EA-6B than your plane weighs.... and Turbo Charged is a marketing/selling point, not an actual Turbo Charged engine.Headed to DC from DTW and a couple of pax pickup stops along the way. Nice to have a turbocharged airplane and 6 seats. The speed advantage is nulled due to the drag of the FLIR on the port side of the airplane.

There is in turbo charger with a exhaust gas driven turbine. It gives you the ability to make 39" of manifold pressure up to 17,000' msl. Giving me access to all 310 HP my little 6 cylinder IO-540 can push out! It's sad that I've dumped more gas on one flight in the EA-6B than your plane weighs.... and Turbo Charged is a marketing/selling point, not an actual Turbo Charged engine.
I stand corrected. Go little turbocharger....go...There is in turbo charger with a exhaust gas driven turbine. It gives you the ability to make 39" of manifold pressure up to 17,000' msl. Giving me access to all 310 HP my little 6 cylinder IO-540 can push out!
I guess the more correct term in "turbo normalized" ....
It's about as good as it gets for us little airplane piston guys. 😜
