Dropped in to check out Arkanstol today in the beautiful Ozark mountains not far from my hometown. Supposedly many more planes are yet to come! Unfortunately I could only stick around for a bit, so I didn’t get to observe the competitions that will be occurring over the next few days.

Is this one of those competitions where pilots go from a dead stop to airborne in like 8 feet and also similar abilities in stopping?

I looked up GS-12 pay and hope those numbers are wrong.. Our second year FOs make 200+. I’ll agree with the GA flying.. Wish I had more time to fly my RV!

We do little better in civil service as a rated pilot. Not major airline wages for sure!
