Yeah, but for a night contact and a VNAV?? He'll be VFR at like 2500' or so the whole way. Hopefully he is going with an IP who would be a little more generous to a stud who had the balls to try something new as well.GO TO TALLAHASSE. Remember you don't get extra points for difficulty level/complexity of the flight.
Being a Coastie, he doesn't really have to worry about those "jet grades" most USN/USMC studs worry about. Something old to the IP is something new to the stud. Bottom line, plans with the least amount of moving parts are the best and if I was an IP, I would give an AA to a stud who wanted to land near FSU...extra points for going to a "local" hangout for chowYeah, but for a night contact and a VNAV?? TCL is pretty good... I don't know if you guys can make it up to Chattanooga, but there's a bunch of good places to eat up there.
*Didn't realize you were going to be truckin back night VFR... don't know if I'd do that from CHA...*

The most interesting place I went on an out and in was Tuscaloosa, AL. It has a great bbq place a few minutes from the airport. Your instructors will probably know about it.
