Regarding the EW schooling you recieve, how in depth into the opearting systems do you get, as far as how the pods do their job and methods for their development?
What possibilities are there to be involved in EW research and development either while in the military or civilian world after you get out/retire?
Do pilots receive similar training in the EW or mainly what he needs to do so that the ECMO's can do their job?

Good Questions! As far as EW School, they don't teach you how the pods work...you'll get that at the Fleet Replacement Squadron (FRS). EW school is more about signal recognition. As far as follow on jobs after being a prowler guy, there are lots of them...pick your poison. Hopefully I've answered your questions!
