Okay, I took courses at a local college here on Long Island (CW Post) during high school and had a 3.75 gpa. I listed that on my application for BDCP. How, if at all, does this get factored into my application? Does the board average it into a big GPA along with my primary university grades? Or do they just "take it into account". Thanx for the replies in advance.
:)

I think if they are applicable credits it will matter. I took all my paramedic classes at community college; but they aren't involved in my engineering degree, so those didn't matter on my application.

But if you have like english or math or something that you would have had to take at your 4yr university, that would matter.

understand?

All college credits are factored into your "Navy" GPA. So if you took some classes at a community college before your 4 yr University, and did well in them, it will bring your GPA for the Navy up. Thats the way it worked for me anyway. Helped me out some.

Well i called my processor today and he said that they dont need the transcript from CW Post because the credits were listed on my the transcipt from my University since i transferred them. Personally, i think that's strange because now i have an unverified gpa of 3.75 from CW Post and a verified gpa of 3.0 from Binghamton University in the scholastic section of my app. Is it just me or does this sound strange?

Edit... Yeah Vette the credits I transferred in counted as major/concentration and general education requirements.
