Here is a link to the Armstrong Program. I would recommend paying close attention to how your body responds to this type of workout though. If you start having "joint" pain, take some time off of it. I haven't tried the program myself. So I can't tell you first-hand how well it works. Maybe someone else who has tried it can be of better service in that department. Good luck!

Pay Very close attention to joint pain. I started to have a lot of it (not with this program, but another) and neglected to think much of it- that was stoopid and I made it worse..... saw a doc- and was told to not do Anything for two months or risk doing serious damage. I was told I was lucky I didt need surgery, but that it would not hurt to have it anyway. I was supposed to be at OCS right now.this may delay that untill June! (because of the infreaquent (SP?) USMC ocs classes) So Yes- Do pay attention to joint pain, and dont suck it up and think your being a baby if it hurts. I used that program once-(looks like I should have stuck with it!) and its great- the push up part in the mornings is key.

I also found that doing negatives with pullups is great at shocking the muscles and bringing my pullups up.

Quick question, on pullups, will they allow you to do them fast provided you go all the way down and lock your arms and keep your legs steady. If I do them really slow, I usually get around 13-15. At a faster pace I get 17. Two more is always better. Anyways, got my PFT this Saturday, so I'm looking foward to doin' this. Thanks gent's.

Started the Armstrong program tonight. Skipped day 1 and started on day 2. I'll keep a log of how my progress goes. I was able to pyramid to 9 pull ups before I missed a set. That leaves plenty of room for improvement.

hey i just started the armstrong this week too after much debate whether to focus on palms in (what i call chin ups)which i can do more of, or true pulls ups (palms out). I have about 4 weeks till my pft so we'll see what it does. keep me posted on how you do EA-6b
