Not to bad. I started sims this week and I get to the flight line, officially, on Monday. Should start flying the week after next. You'll already be at Whiting by the time I get there! The T-6 is a beutiful plane, though. How is the family? More important, how is the monkey?

How is Corpus? I heard they might make you fly jets!jaja

As far as the timeframe of Primediate, I just classed up last Friday here in Corpus and when we did our brief with the Commodore, he told us that they are trying to get everything incorporated and still have us out in the same amount of time as Primary used to take. Apparently from other information he told us, as well as what we are hearing from people in the program right now, they are actually trying to get us through a month faster than the old syllabus took. Also something they are working on is getting everyone through as a class. As in you all finish the syllabus within 2-3 days of each other. We were already told to plan on some 2 a days, etc. plus the detachment to New Mexico when the weather gets bad. We'll see how it plays out.

If you want to see some disgruntled SNA's just go to the student ready room. The guys on the old program are getting screwed out of flights becuase the new guys are taking priority.

Hell no, thats why I'm shooting for a 51. Right now any Marines with a 52 or over (lately) have been selected for jets. I might have to down a couple of flights....lol If I had to bet, I'd say Worm is gonna get jets if he's not carefull, green gorilla will for sure. What do you want again, I forget?

Corpus is ok, and the Fam is great. How many EP's does that T-6 have so far? same ol monkey....

I've got a master, and frog man has a master. I burnt a bunch and sent them to TX, and one to that crazy Marine at Vance. If you want me to mail a copy, pm me an address and I will send it off.

Finally get to do what we talked about back in May. Stop by supply and sign for 1) T-34 Charlie model. For a while, I didn’t think I was going to pass the check ride. I got my ass chewed for almost flying in IMC conditions. Not because of weather, but the South likes to burn everything, so one of their little trash fires was big enough to create IMC conditions in the middle of course rules up to about 5,000’.

Thanx – yup, he’s doing well. Things move fast after the solo flight – you jump right into aerobatics, two flights later, your up for the PA solo. A week after that, your in formation flights – this is freakin nuts!
At least we get some extra PA flights on the new syllabus.

Had my checkride and solo today. Feels damn good to have it behind me. I was a little nervous because we had 5 people fail their checkrides last week and one this morning, although the one this morning got to call it an optional warm-up.....lucky guy.

Congrats! When you go helos, do they get to solo? Your first solo flight in a 53 should be pretty fun.
I’m still mixed between helos and jets. One of the T-45 guys flew out to talk with us, and once he started talking, all I heard was: “Hi I’m Greg Marmalard, President of the Omega house…” (Reference to Animal House). The pilot was a douche, but the jet was pretty cool.

-note: we are the monkey

haha...that was pretty funny!

My checkride and solo for my PPL was like a big lesson. The instructor took the opportunity to explain some things that I was fuzy on and it was a fun experience. Is it the same way when you checkride and solo in the Navy?
