If anyone really cares, just got my selections today and I got E2/C2. I'm pretty happy and it looks like I'll be sticking around CC for a little while.

You mean being an ERAU grad doesn't automatically make you good enough for jets?????????

(This is a dig at ERAU grads, not E2/C2 guys.)

Congrats. I'll add that if you get COD's, you've got props, carrier, hotel, beer and women. Hard to beat that :D

I don't want to jinx mules, but as of yet, we haven't had a rotc mid select jets. :D
It's interesting how many people come to primary "18s or bust" and then their tune changes to "I just can't wait to be done with the T-34". Maybe they changed their minds?

Kind of along the same lines, I was talking to a Marine NFO today who absolutely rocked the program (big surprise). Great guy, always ready to help out the new studs in the ready room. Anyway, I was asking him questions about the jet community, and he was like well that's how it is in the Marine Corps, but I can't really speak to the Navy side. I wish that the Navy would do a better job of briefing us on our various platform choices. We get a great look at all the helo communities and P-3/EP-3 because of the instructors, but we never get a chance to talk to TACAIR types and ask them about their community, lifestyle, etc etc. Our platform selection is a pretty big decision and decides a lot about our future, yet most students don't get a chance to sit down with jet guys and really thoroughly discuss things. Is this an oversight of the program? Or is it kind of designed this way...? Just curious.

Congrats! Just out of curiosity, what did you put on your dream sheet? Did you want E2/C2, or were you drafted into it? Either way, they both seem like good communities to end up in (although C2's seem to have greater allowances for hookers and blow :D ).
