99,
Does anyone have any experience with armadillo wrangling? I took my dog out at 0500 this morning before going to my simulator (with Zeller the Yeller) and there was an armadillo in my yard. Having discussed with my neighbor shooting them, I wanted to but did not due to how early in the morning it was. It ran into the drain under my neighbors driveway and I was able to block it in with some firewood. There was a tight seal but when I got home and tried to smoke it out, I'll be damned if the thing hadn't pulled a Cris Angel and disappeared! Trap still intact and the drainage pipe having no other outlets. Any advise?

In most states it is against the law to intentionally kill an armadillo.

If someone sees you actually do it. I recommend a Remington Nylon 66 or a Ruger .22 with CB rounds (subsonic so they sound like an airgun, but plenty of punch).

Enjoy.

Are there any burrow holes? Armadillos are adept diggers and will often dig their way out of harms way.

Not trying to sound like an anti-hunting advocate but being from california and being ignorant on the subject of armadillos, why are they such a pest that one would need to shoot it??
