Pre-clearance psychological evaluation

As far as I know, and as far as my recruiter knows, I am waiting on someone to get in touch with me about a psychological interview/evaluation that will assess my fitness for a clearance. I've been waiting for about 8 weeks now and feeling pretty frustrated.

The last form I signed reads: "acknowledgement of receipt for request for medical evaluation" and says that the DCSA AVS (defense counterintelligence and security agency adjudication and vetting services) wants said eval in accordance with Procedures for the DoD Personnel Security Program, DoDm 5200.02, and/or the ICD 704.

Has anyone underwent this process or similar prior to even being able to submit their package?

I have had a few candidates that went through this, what they need to do is find a provider that has availability, I wonder if the shutdown is affecting this part.

Timeline I had some done in a couple months, most took 4-6 months, and I had one that took a year.

I hate to say it and what @exNavyOffRec alluded to, but you're at the mercy of the government, or in this case DSCA to get a contracted provider to complete this portion. I am certain with the DOGE reductions and current government shutdown that it hasn't helped the process any better.
