I've had pork adobo ruined for me by the incompetent/low give-a-shit galley crew. I can't even order it at Filipino restaurants because I've been so horribly scarred. Also, I've been disappointed many times by collard greens that ended up being inedible because they were as salty as the Dead Sea. I think that was the result of the CS who made them having no taste buds.

It's a bad idea to eat seafood while at sea because that's how you get Poseidon's Revenge. Every time I've eaten seafood while on a ship I've gotten sick. I thought it was just result of Navy cooks screwing it up but then I ate the lobster on a cruise ship and got sick.
@Birdbrain, never forget that the sea is a harsh mistress and will never miss an opportunity to remind you of it, even at the dinner table.
