Past experiences with obtaining education while serving

If anyone would be willing to share, I'd like to hear examples of opportunities to continue education while still serving. I know that I'm just getting started with flight school and this is a ways down the road, but the decisions I make now could impact my options in the future. I understand that my ability to do my job takes precedence over anything else and I would never sacrifice that.

An example is my OSO who was attending night classes at the University of Chicago and earned his Masters in Finance.

Any experiences or advice on how to position yourself to do this?

Thanks.

It's called shore duty. Not sure how far away it is for you, but most people will take classes while on shore duty if they're trying to get a masters.
