It's my understanding (Hozer - correct me if I'm wrong here), that there is no more panel Nav school for VP guys. Once you're done with VT-4/10, you go straight to VP-30. The downside of course is that you lose a LOT of INS (inertial) time in the Sim and in-flight on the T-43. I think the conventional wisdom holds that the time at Randolph was not as productive for Navy guys (and gals :) than it was for AF bubbas. Bottom line - the Navy doesn't need no stinkin' Panel Nav school !!! Besides, the sooner they start lugging around that comm box, the better !

I am in the final parts of Primary right now. They say they are still sending Panel Navs both places. I know a few classes ahead of me, a couple students went to Randolph. I will be going to VP-30 from Pensacola. I have not heard any word when they are going to stop sending sailors to Randolph.
