The widow of Audie Murphy passed away on 8Apr10. She had been a regular worker at the Sepulveda VA Hospital in L.A. 90 years old and very well respected and liked by everyone who came in contact with her. Too often the wives of our fighting men are neglected by the public and few realize the sacrifrice they make on a daily basis in support of their husbands.
I don't recall seeing any reference to her passing away in the news.

Boy, the Marines (& Navy, I think) missed a great one there. He tried to enlist in the USMC I know but was turned down (height/weight?).
