Orders Question

I will be commisioning in a couple of weeks and just got my orders. I was wondering if orders typically state the number of dependents for the purpose of PCS-ing (I am prior enlisted and seem to recall my dependents being mentioned on previous sets of orders).

They don't, at least not in plain english. It could possibly be hidden in some of the accounting data, if you can translate it into english.

I seem to recall it's w/deps or w/o deps.

OK, I dug up my last set of orders and they state "this transfer is funded for member and 2 dependents" while my current orders make no reference to dependents at all. I don't want to call my detailer if its common for dependents to not be specifically mentioned on orders but then again I don't want to go to set up my move only to find that they will allow just the single HHG weight based on my current orders.

I would say, but I am not sure, that at minimum it should say PCS w/dep, not specifying any number. The w/dep phrase is important because I think it gives you a larger HHG weight allowance.
