Happy Mother's Day to the women on the board who have children. I also want to wish a Happy Mother's Day to the moms of members of the armed forces.

And an especially Happy Mother's Day to my mommy.

@ Bubba: Thanks dude... It's an old golf cart somebody threw in the water off Fort Pickens Beach. I'm sitting in the driver's seat, LOL.

She thought it was great... doctored them up in photoshop and sent them back to me. I told her she should start a career in photo retouching:

Thats great....i just finished up a diving class. I have to make 2 more dives before I get open water certified. Hopefully i'll get some time in the next 20 days before OCS.

NAUI or PADI?

NAUI. We were taught to be certified for either but I ended up going with NAUI. Currently I only own mask/snorkel and fins but I suppose one day i'll get some gear. Its something I would like to get into once I get some time.

Just got my NAUI advanced. Yeah, some of the gear is really expensive, but if you spread out the costs it's not too bad. I own all my gear now, which beats the heck out of renting, no fees and you know what you're diving with.

Yeah thats my thinking too. For the class it was only a 35 dollar "lab fee" and plus the gear that I bought. I'm planing on getting a suit next, then possibly a BC if I can find the cash.

What do you have to do for Adv. NAUI? All I pretty much did was pass the skill checks 3 times over and now I have to finish up the last of the 5 o/w dives.

For advanced you do 6 additional training dives where you can demonstrate a variety of "advanced" SCUBA dive skills, including diver to >60 feet, night dives or low-viz, wreck diving, underwater photography, search and recovery, underwater survey, etc.

Do you have your Nitrox card yet? If not, I'd recommend getting that first, max bottom times dude!
