How does one become an OCS class president or any other class officer? Is it the regular election process? What are his duties? Any perks?

The class president is elected on your second sunday at ocs. Perks, no. Everyone will think they can do the job better, the DI's make you come see them to have personal time if anyone screws up etc. Plus you'll probably get fired in the 4'th week. So.... if your strong and want some extra attention go for it.

Go to this webpage. It has the day-to-day life at OCS including these positions.

I wouldn't want to be the class president. Ours had to check in with our DI every morning and everytime he rejoins the platoon, he's all tired and sweaty. One can only guess the "special attention" he's gotten. The only perk that I can think of is that he doesn't have to stand any watches.
