OCS Boards

There are Company and Battalion boards which consist of the Company and Battalion staffs, respectively. You only appear before them if they need to consider your status at OCS, which is usually either if you DOR or are having trouble at OCS.
If you are recommended by your Platoon Commander for Company probation (restricted to MCB Quantico for liberty), you will appear before the Company board and explain yourself to the Company Commander.
If, in turn, your Company CO recommends you for Battalion Probation, i.e. you've screwed the pooch, you will appear before the Battalion board for Colonel Chase to evaluate your fitness to stay at OCS.
If you're doing fine, you will never appear before either one. The Company board convenes as necessary, typically a week before the Battalion board. The Battalion boards are scheduled for weeks 5,7, and 9, but are also convened as necessary.
