There's got to be a certain level of irony in there. A bunch of chopper dudes determining who/what makes the best jet pilots.

That's kind of what I was eluding to earlier. VT-3 is it's own animal, since the AF will send jet guys there, but for other squadrons, if there's a jet CO, he might not care what a helo onwing thinks...or sometimes even what another jet onwing thinks if he wasn't in a "competitive" platform, whatever that might mean. I'm just speaking generally, here. Not saying the above is necessarily true for any particular squadron.

You've gotta respect an honest man. Hasn't that thought crossed many of our minds?

You WILL learn to fly form in advanced jets ... there's like 25 flights. I wasn't bad ... but wasn't the best at forms in Primary and I selected jets. I would think they would weigh more on your work ethic and attitude than how well you fly forms. If you have a good attitude and work ethic than you CAN and WILL learn to fly good anything. Just my opinion ... I really don't know how this stuff works.

Also, again my opinion ... flying forms in a jet to me is TOTALLY DIFFERENT than flying them in the Turbo Weenie ..

Very true, that's major. That applies to any pipeline. Bad attitude is a fast way to get booted.

Yep. Just wait til TACFORM if you aren't there already, and then after that, the ever present Navy method of "Just get in position, I don't care how".
