Does anyone know if you get to go on CORTRAMID even if you aren't on scholarship the first year?

CORTRAMID is for scholarship students only. The only exception I have seen is the College Programs that picked up a Leadership Scholarship given out by the CO of the unit. Those MIDN were allowed to participate in CORTRAMID. Otherwise, if you pick up a regular scholarship you can do CORTRAMID in place of your 2nd class cruise. Hope this helps!
 
High's right. No-go for non-scholarship b/c there's a liability/clearance issue with someone who's not contracted/processed. Therefore, until you have gone through the formal signing of your "contract," they can't, legally-speaking, let you go.

Without a scholarship or contract you aren't covered under insurance either.
