Listening to the "Bob" out of Norfolk, it talks about this new "Med-spa" where you can get various body hairs removed (don't worry, this is clean) ...and one of the happy "customers" talks about how her husband got his chest hairs lased off...

Begs me to wonder the following...when we were boys growing up, chest hair was a sign of being a man...we rejoiced the day that we HAD to shave our faces and then counted the chest hair as it developed...how many metrosexuals do we have in the forum that find they are "disgusted" by their chest hair enough to endure the days of itching that accompanies getting rid of them (without lasing)? Do their spouses encourage this!?

I had a friend that would shave EVERTHING below his neck once a year. It was some type of wierd high school baseball team tradition.

One drunk night when he was wasted we decided to shave EVERYTHING above his neck. Do you know it takes almost 4-5 months to make shaven eyebrows look normal again......

In a related topic, while deployed to Turkey, one of my JO squadronmates passed out drunk and subsequently had his eyebrows shaved. The funny thing was that it took him several hours the next day before he realized it. He was livid and threatened everyone - first with violence, then with legal action. He settled down after a while, but it was hard to take him seriously for the next month while his brow grew back in. Good times.

Side note, do you guys follow the tradition of if someone passes out with their shoes on, they were clearly too wasted to do so, and are therefore fair game to mess with, or is it just anyone that's dumb enough to pass out in front of their squadron mates has it coming?

Some friends of mine follow the shoe rule in their house. I"m always paranoid when I'm drinking there

At the academy all the guys that found out they got SEALs shaved their eyebrows. We had to hold some guys down that didnt want it... kinda scary when a future SEAL is threatening your life and you are holding a razor an inch away from his eyeballs. The next day it was kind of a honor when they stood out at formation. I thought it was funny during inspection when they would look all over guys and tell them to trim their nose-hairs and such, then they would look at the guys without eyebrows and just move on. Hahaha
