I applied for an OCS NFO slot last February. My corrected visual acuity is 20/20. My uncorrected visual acuity was passed by MEPS, but I received a letter from the Chief of Naval Operations saying that my uncorrected vision was borderline passing. What are the current vision requirements for NFO? I saw a post that their were changes over the summer (http://www.airwarriors.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4027), but I can't find the related NAVMED document.
If I get PRK, what are the pre-PRK vision requirements (in terms of diopters)? And, is there some time you have to wait after the surgery before you can request a PRK waiver?
Thank you!
