Hello,
Let me first start out saying that I just dropped my packet for NFO. Im prior army with an Iraq deployment under the 101st ABN DIV. I was told by my recruiter to try and look up other aviators and get a feel for what is expected of me. I picked NFO because I get along well with almost everyone I meet and my NFO score was higher than pilot score so i decided to drop a packet for NFO. I have always been interested in the aviation field since i was younger and heard stories of my great grandfather who flew in a naval aviation unit. Now,I'm sure the stories were a little fabricated, but none the less they were interesting. my great uncle was an aviator for the airforce, he never really said anything about it besides he liked the feeling of being able to fly through clouds.so, after reading these posts a lot of them are outdated and i know things change a lot in every branch of the service. So all I really know so far is that if selected i will be going through OCS and then to sere school, but I am clueless about what schooling I will go through for NFO, I really want to fly in growlers and superhornets. Anything that anyone can provide would be helpful.
