New OCS Check-In Policy for BCA, 03DEC25

Shipmates and future shipmates:

Please be aware that there is a new Temporary Standing Order dated 03DEC at OCS that if you fail your BCA during check-in that you will be sent home immediately.

Presently, the OCS website FAQ as of 09DEC states that you (EDIT: "may result in rollback [3 weeks]") to remediate the issue in a holding status, but that is no longer current information.

Do not show up to OCS unprepared. Be ready to crush your check-in PRT (under less-than-ideal conditions). Do not show up expecting to make tape if you are not making weight. Culture from the Top Down is changing and "knife's edge" cases will not be given second looks and you will be sent home.

Candi-Os and RDCs are not CFLs so don't expect to pass in the way you would at your prior command.

Are you saying being taped isn't even an option anymore? I'm confused.

This can be disregarded - I was able to get clarification.

Taping is occurring with single-site method for sure, but whatever taping method you are used to at your command or if you are a civilian working with a recruiter, may not work in your favor (i.e., "tight" taping).

NAVADMIN 242/24 is not being considered with respect to passing PRT Excellent or better and receiving an exemption for the Body Composition Assessment (BCA) and Age-Adjusted Standards (AAS) component of the PFA.
