They're not hurting, they're expanding all sectors of Special Forces. It's been in the works (and the news) for some time and is also addressed in the QDR which was issued this month. A must read for any military member.

From an ex-SEAL-wannabee, that was pretty friggin' cool. I had also heard about that Brett.

Those waves sounded a bit like the beginning of Black Sabbath. (Or, better yet, Quadrophenia.)

In any event, I noticed they have a general knowledge, "How do I become a ____" and "What percentage get ____" message board. Perhaps this non-official site could post a sticky that redirects folks to the official site in order to answer the routine, repetitive, and un-"Searched" questions?

HERESY! IMHO, All FNG's will post the repetitive questions anyway. I know that my first posts were guilty of this. FNG's will be FNG's, and they're simply not going to think to check through the rest of the forum before starting a newbie thread. Hazard of the trade, I'm afraid.

Time for a rhetorical question??? Is there ... perchance to dream ... a "pecking order" among FNG's ??? As in ... with time in the FNG pool ... one becomes more/less of a "new" FNG ???

I.e., are some FNG's more "F"'ing ... or more "N"ing ... or more "G"ing ... ??? Humor an old man .... :icon_rast

Oh, is that how it works?

# of posts does not equal experience... especially if most of them just fill up space.

Bruddah, I'm the Student Control Officer of the FNG Pool. (R.H.I.P. - At least I don't have my FNG Pool stash job anymore :) )

How about finding a way to let new members register, but have to wait a few weeks or so until a post is allowed to be made?? It would make most of the new people read around the site for a while before asking questions and not want to be "that guy". Maybe every thread could be "locked" to the new person for a bit of time before posting could happen.

By the way, cool commercial. Short and to the point.

Problem with that, Slammer, is any newbies with a time critical question have to wait to get a possibly critical yet simple question answered.

Honest question: how 'cum ??? Most "new" guys don't know who/what/when "that guy" is, anyway .... ??? That's what the "Mod Squad" is for if things get out of hand .... yes??
