need housing help!

My husband is finishing OCS and has recieved his orders and they are allowing dependents to move down to Pensacola, much to my surprise. Somehow they have gotten around the no PCS moves regulation I guess. Anyway, he has talked to housing office and they of course have nothing and know of no apartment complexes that have anything open. Does anyone know of something available for around $800? It is just the two of us but we do have a dog. If anyone knows of anything please let me know by PM! thanks!!

I am buying a house in Pcola and will be looking for tenants starting around Nov1. I will be buying a 3 bedroom, living there for flight school and renting out the other 2 rooms. Not sure of any specifics yet, but I will try to help anyone I can.

What's unfortunate is that there are about 100,000 displaced people in Pcola right now looking for rentals. We rented from Beumer Realty, you might want to call them and see what they have available. They rent to A LOT of military families. Our 3 BR house was 750 and we loved it. They will screw you on the check out, I'm just warning you. You will pay for the house to be cleaned and they keep a lot of your deposit for stupid stuff.

THere is a message board on the Pensacola newspaper's website and some people will advertise their available rentals www.pensacolanewsjournal.com and click on the neighborhood reports link, I think. If you have trouble, PM me and Ill give you more suggestions for rentals. You might end up having to live really far away.

If there is anyone coming down in late december or early january, my roommate will be moving out and going to Corpus so I will be looking for a new roommate to fill his spot. It is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment about 10 minutes from base.
