What's not to like about polyester?

Not on the ship?working khakis...Never wore them a single day.
I have a dumb question about paddles. If the ship is going to make a sudden change of course, are you told over the radio/intercom so that you can communicate it to whoever is in the slot trying to land? I assume so, but..Not on the ship?
As an LSO, I wore mine often enough. But this was in the late 1900s.
Are 100% polyester CNTs no longer a thing.
I got maybe 4 sets of working khakis when I was a graduating/new ENS. Never wore them a single day.
The captain would call down to my headset (CAG Paddles) to tell me he had to make a turn for winds, sea-space, or traffic. He'd typically say, "Hey, I've gotta turn after we catch this guy," or "If I make it gently, can you catch him in a turn?" Sometimes the captain himself wouldn't call, but the Boss would call after a conversation with the bridge.I have a dumb question about paddles.
