It seems this year Fleet Week is no longer coming to San Francisco. It looks like i'll have to take a trip somewhere. Does anyone recommend any good airshows? I know Florida does it big, but how about the Miramar airshow? Is that any good?
 
One fleetweek here in san francisco the Carl Vinson rolled in and cat shot 4 jets. The Tomcats flew around for a minute and then trapped back aboard the carrier. It was one of the most awesome airshows. What do they have at the miramar show?
 
been a few years since I have made it, but it is the standard bunch of civilains who roam the airshow circuit, lots of military demos/flybys, and of course the blues.

Tons of static displays... all in all just a real well put together event. They got guys doing rocket car/truck/semi/tank races.

according to the fleet week website, it is still scheduled for October 9-11 in San Francisco..Maybe their website needs to be updated...

Ya according to Blue Angels website, they are instead visiting Hawaii. I also remember seeing that in the newspapers out here.
