NASIS

CaiqueB

SNA BDCP Applicant
I'm currently working to get my BDCP SNA application submitted for the Sept Board. However, I am having some trouble navigating through NASIS, specifically for the personal reference portion. I'm only 20, and it's asking me for references that cover the last seven years. Unfortunately, I grew up as a military brat, and I don't know anyone from seven years ago. What should I do?

What did your recruiter say when you asked them this question?

Teachers…teachers never forget.

Teachers are good, but I'm frustrated that I need contacts from seven years ago. I feel that's absurd, especially for a 20-year-old. My recruiter said just put down what I have, and we'll go over it later. I just want to be proactive and get this form knocked out.

I get it, but the system is the system. Just do your best and roll with it.

Well, if 17-18 year old enlistees can do a NASIS, so can you. Stop being lazy.

There's an often used answer you can use in the software for events such as these. It's "UNK."

You'll have to make a comment on why you're putting that, but it is a thing.
