Napoleon Dynamite

So I was watching Napoleon Dynamite the other day, and realized that he was wearing a TH-57 shirt half the movie. Also, I have only ever seen this shirt sold at the Whiting NEX. Suddenly it occured to me that Napoleon must be the love child of a helo pilot.

Where would a kid in the middle of nowhere so far from Whiting get such a shirt, unless it was left as a consolation prize for some unfortunate local woman after some wild HT cross country party? Where was his father in that movie? My guess is on deployment. Probably in the Gulf avoiding child support from his other exploits. Obviously, whoever it was had to have great skills, and I'm willing to bet that hovering skills were towards the top of the list.

Would anyone like to man up and admit what he did, or am I going to have to pass this info along to the man?

So does this mean that the tagline of the movie applies to helo drivers, "He's out to prove he's got nothing to prove?"

You'll either love the movie or hate it. There is no inbetween.

And then, if you hate it...watch it 3 more times...you'll come around.

GOSH.

As for the Tees...it's actually not a TH-57...If you notice...it's a 206 variant with 2, count them 2!!! back windows behind the pilots ;)

Enjoy the story...it's a good one.

BTW...get into your NATOPS ENS...you're about to be going 700 MPH with your hair on fire...well, I hope just the latter...

I proved I can dodge your kind while on the river run last night. Crossing the extended centerline between two P-3s on takeoff is interesting.
