All, one of my good friends last year raised some money for a local orphanage in Japan, by climbing Mt. Fuji 3 times in a 24 hour period. Well, these crazy submariners are at it again.

On 1 September 2008, 4 Submariners from CSG7 will be climbing Mount Fuji a total of 4 TIMES in a 24 hour period, raising money for a Japanese orphanage where they all volunteer their time. Last year, they accomplished their goal of 3 times in 24 hours, with plenty of time to spare. On their behalf, I'm requesting the help from anyone interested in donating to their cause. The website for donations is www.fujiclimb.com. The charity can also be found on youtube.com and CNN's I-report. They have a goal of raising $10,000, which has not even reached the halfway point, despite their website getting over 15,000 hits. Any help is appreciated. Thank you all for your support.

Interesting and gratifying to see our military guys are still involved in such activities. I climbed Fuji once when I was 18 based at Atsugi and it kicked my ass!
