You know.. I'm not a huge fan of when people say, "It's been a long day." It might have felt long but it wasn't actually longer.

I'm gonna call BS on that one. When my day starts at 0800, I plan to leave at 1630. When the boss tells me at 1629 that there's now a 1700 meeting, the day has now become long.

Of course, if I skip said meeting...then I get duty, and my day becomes even longer!

Lots of Looooosers in the RW/Infantry community then... On top of that, why not schedule the O'Call on Friday at 1300 vice Friday at 1700? They wonder why we show up, have one beer, then leave...

If I made that kind of insensitive comment, I'd be put on some kind of a "We won't pick you up if you jump out" kind of list.
