Monday AM landfall?

Now if I only had renter's insurance and wasn't such a dumb a$$, I'd be sitting on the porch of a hotel in town and riding THIS BABY OUT, got numerous tornados under my belt, but yet to get the hurricane/earthquake stripe.

Ok, so I'm driving down to check in for API and called the BOQ to see if I could check in early, and they obviously said not to come, so I'm currently squatting up in Birmingham until ~Wednesday (even though I may have to leave here too). I'm not worried since my report date isn't until next Friday, but how do they handle this in terms of my only having four days of travel time, possibly getting paid for my hotel expenses, etc? Just wondering who to speak with, thanks for any help.

Talk to admin when you check in and they should at least be able to direct you to the right place...

According to my "hurr-evac liason ensign" from the flight management office, all A-pool activities (and API, although I'm not positive about this) are a go for monday.

As of this morning, I got a phone call that the fly-out for TRAWING 6 had been delayed, and it was now not recommended that we leave the local area at all. Oh yeah... and academics may be a go for Monday. Make up your mind, Katrina!

For the guy stuck in Birmingham, you get per diem and malt for each day of travel time to cover food and lodging when you you PCS. If you go beyond that 4 days travel time though, they probably won't do anything for you. It sucks, but that's the way it works.

Anyone got word on NAS Meridian? Rumor is the base is closing, but the squadrons haven't bothered to call yet....
