Heard @HAL Pilot likes to call himself the MOAB at the Airport Bar.
He can't hear you over his warfare device.

We used a similar weapon in Vietnam. "Daisy Cutter". Not nearly as powerful, but also was deployed from a C-130. It was used to make an instant LZ in the jungle.
I stand corrected. The "Daisy Cutter" of Vietnam days referred to the fuze on the extension on the nose of conventional Mk-82 type bombs which detonated the ordnance above the ground before penetration, which would "mow down" anything just above ground level. FAE (Fuel Air Explosive) was developed with the express purpose of making an instant LZ in the jungle. There was a video of the testing of FAE that used to be shown back in the day that was eventually banned because monkeys strapped to poles around the circumference of a circle around a stationary FAE device were used to demonstrate the destructive power of using FAE. A FAE weapon also used a "Daisy Cutter" fuse and was small enough to be dropped from A-7's.
See, well on your way to your Doctorate in Frustration. Nice workI wish I could edit my former comment . . . .

Let's not forget that a FAE/MOAB device was used to eradicate the deadly Motaba virus in 1967. A MOAB was also almost used at Cedar Creek, CA in 1995, but was eventually called off.

BFD. They almost set off a nuke outside Flatrock, Nevada when Project Wildfire went sideways in the 1960s.Let's not forget that a FAE/MOAB device was used to eradicate the deadly Motaba virus in 1967. A MOAB was also almost used at Cedar Creek, CA in 1995, but was eventually called off.
