To answer your question it is based on the needs of the USMC. Generally speaking Charlie Co and either Alpha or Fox (Can't remember) are high in Combat Arms MOS and have an IOC class to themselves so it would be easier to get 0302 if you were in those companies. the majority of Lts that I know who were not Air contracts got 0302 for their MOS.

I heard/read somewhere that if 0302 was in your top 3, you were going infantry. but then again that was THEN not NOW (not to mention it was scuttlebutt)

so if your pft is pretty good and your leadership was good you more than likely would get it. People told me you had to be a pt god to make it.

not necessarily, go to the TBS website and look under their MOS section. Its called the quality spread, they break the class up into 1/3 I'll stop explaining it now because I don't feel like typing it all out.
