Mil to Mil Naval Aviators

I just want to know which “Growler XO” he’s talking about, because that sounds like a tall tale to me.

Unlike the enlisted folks, the Navy does not give a flying fuck about co-locating officers,
The AF seems to be pretty good about working "Joint Spouse" assignments. I'm not married to another service member, but know quite a few that are/were, and that were able to both get to the same base.

Cool... and irrelevant.

This is the exact opposite of my experience being married to someone in the USAF. I'll caveat that by saying that she was not a pilot or nav or other aircrew. Aslo, we weren't both in the same service.

When I was the winging officer in an HT squadron, I never saw COLO get denied, even between Navy/Marine couples. We had studs do the official request far in advance of wings and worked with PERS to make sure there was a feasible drop. Generally we sent everyone west coast... As long as there is in fact an assignment in existence that will work out, this can usually be taken care of at the JOPA level so don’t keep it a secret and don’t piss off STUCON.
