Microsim Update Not Working

I know this subject has been beatin' to death in past threads, but I'm looking to get a copy of the Microsim Part Task Trainer for FS2K2. The MicroShell from https://wwwcfs.cnet.navy.mil/microsimptt/downloads.cfm gives some .xml file error and will not install on any computer that I have tried it on :icon_rage . Anyone else having this error with the new Microshell. I talked to the guy at WINGS also, but his copy only works for FS98. Looking to get a hold of the updated version to get a jump start on primary. Also looking for some accurate T-34C models for FS2K2. Thanks yall.

Judging by your profile . . . worry about API first. The microsim is nothing like the actual plane and you're a long way from there anyway.

You can do anything once.

Well for those of us that may be headed/in primary. Is there a t-34 model for flight sim that can be downloaded or does anyone have a working t-34 for flightsim? Thanks.

Appearently ,the wing has a CD that works with Flight sim 2002. Also, you can use the microsims on base if you need to.

Thanks for all your responses everyone. Just looking for something productive to do while completing IFS in Cleveland, OH this summer. :sleep_125 Was looking to at least learn the course rules down in whiting and corpus early on in training. Never hurts to be prepared I guess. :D Thanks again and see yall in the fleet.

Your best move is to take all that motivation and get through the classes you have in your last semester. Enjoy college now. Neither Pcola or Corpus are as packed with nubile 18-23 yr olds. Your first night at Seville will be a wake up call.

I got the patch from whiting shortly after I checked in. The guy that works in the microsim lab told me how to install it; he also recommended a logitech joystick which worked great. It handled much better on my computer than the ones at base did. I thought it was great. The tacan, vor, and ILS all worked. I could shoot any approach I wanted then go to map view and check to see if I did it right. I never practiced in the real sims during RI's, not once. I already knew how to fly them from BI's, all I had to do was work on procedures. It was great for the pattern as well.

Is there any way that you can distribute this patch BLWHLE2, or explain how to install it so that it works..XML file error seems to be the only installation problem..Thanks for any help you can give

After enlisting a litle help from a computer science budd, I was able to solve the installation error. Seems like a pretty useful program, but like you all said I'll use it when the time comes. Right now I'm just gonna focus on getting through the rest of this semester and comissioning first. I'll worry of about being a super stud when I get there. Living in the moment for the time being, and enjoying my last days of college. Thanks for the advice everybody.
